Perthshire’s leading adventure centre takes you to new heights

Wednesday 9th Apr 2014

Head for the trees at Action Glen for a hair raising adventure

Your ultimate adventure awaits you!

With school holidays just around the corner, Action Glen has plenty of things to do for kids of all ages. Located in just one hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh, Action Glen is Perthshire’s premier adventure centre. Located within a 900 acre estate, Action Glen is the home to over 60 outdoor activities from tree top adventures to quad bikes and segways.
Launched last year, Aloft! is Perthshire’s best tree top adventure with over 1km of exciting obstacles and speedy zip wires to conquer. Using the latest safety technology, Aloft! has three tree top adventures to choose from. Whether you are looking to swing in the tree tops or want to stay a bit closer to the ground, we have something to suit adults and kids of all ages!
From tree-to-tree, across rope bridges and then along the tightest of tightropes and past tonnes of tricky obstacles, Aloft! is the ideal for days out with the kids, suitable for kids aged 7 years old and 145cm in height and offers a great family experience with family packages available from just £90.

Perfect for during the school holidays, Aloft! goers can choose from a 2 or 3 hour adventure experience, depending on how long you would like to swing in the trees. With 3 trails to pick from, there is something for all abilities at Perthshire’s adventure centre. The first of the adventures, Turret Trail, is the lowest of our adventures starting at 3m. Meikle’s Keep is the second of our adventures and features 9 obstacles and 2 zip wire. Our third adventure, Eagles Nest starts at 9m and rises to a hair raising 14m before taking on the 170m zip wire back to the ground.
For those who do not have a head for heights, there is a trail below where onlookers can encourage Aloft! goers along, shout words of encouragement and take pictures of their adventure.
Kit up and kick off in the nursery area and instructors will guide you to the trail for you and up you go. All adventures finish with a lengthy zip line back to the ground. The final challenge is whether you can land on two feet!
Once safely back on the ground, why not head up to the Clubhouse for a refreshing drink and bite to eat while recounting your Aloft! adventure.

Bookings can now be made online via our website, all you need to do is head to the activity you would like to do and check out the dates and times available.
