Give the gift of adventure!

Monday 17th Nov 2014

We’ve all got that one person in the family who is just absolutely impossible to buy for but at Action Glen we’re all about making the impossible possible..

Our Action Glen gift vouchers are perfect for even the fussiest of family members!

The huge range of activities we offer means that there’s something for everyone from the kids to the big kids so why not give the gift of adventure this festive season?

Know any petrol-heads? We’ve got full throttle quad-biking experiences for the big kids (12yrs +) that we run down in our on-site quarry complete with a mix of rugged gravel and sand terrain, ravines and river plunges!

The younger ones (8-11yrs) can get in on the action too with our mini quads experience or alternatively they can hop on the back of one of our 2 seater quads and have one of our qualified instructors drive them around the quarry; the kids can make this as ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ or ‘Driving Miss Crazy’ as they like!

For those who like something a bit out of the ordinary we have Segway tours lead by our experienced and qualified instructors. Go for a ride over some challenging terrain and be rewarded with incredible views of beautiful Perthshire.

For something a little calmer, why not treat someone to an hour-long session of archery or air rifles? Our instructors will give them all the little hints and tips they’ll need to be bang on target while making sure that they’re learning to become a sharpshooter in a perfectly safe environment.

Or give someone the ultimate adrenaline fuelled experience with our treetop adventure assault course – Aloft!

Turret Trail

With so many options to choose from you’re bound to find something to please and buying that perfect gift couldn’t be easier – just visit our website, find the activity you want and hit ‘Gift this experience!’

Halloween hi-jinks in the dark, dark woods!

Thursday 31st Oct 2013

If you went down to the woods this week you would have witnessed some hi-jinks of the extreme nature as Scotland’s newest aerial assault course, Aloft! got spooky!

The course held two specially themed evenings this week which saw visitors and guests transform by twilight into Halloween dare devils, whizzing through magical coloured, floodlit treetops with just a head torch to light the way.

Aloft! opened in Crieff in September, offering a new breathtaking adventure experience in Perthshire.  Situated on the 600 acre Crieff Hydro estate, around £200k was been invested to create the new treetop experience which offers nearly 30 obstacles from tightropes to cargo nets, seven zip lines and over two hours of high jinks and outdoors adventure for Scotland’s daredevil daytrippers!

Turret Trail, with its rope bridges, tightropes and tricky obstacles begins 2.5 metres up in the air and climbs as high as 8 metres, making it ideal for all, from those looking to whet their appetite for adventure, to those who dare go no higher!

Meikle’s Keep has a variety of tricky obstacles, see saws, cargo nets, short zip lines and lots to explore before a speedy ending with a whizz past the treetops back to terra firma on its 160 metre zip wire.

Eagle’s Nest, the most challenging of the three courses, offers groups with a head for heights and Tarzan tendencies a physical and mental challenge with its 12 metre high ropes, bridges, obstacles and nets and a daring 160 metre rush through the trees on its zip wire.

The Halloween themed evenings were a huge success and Aloft! will soon announce dates for its ‘Christmas Tree Adventures’ nights for December!

The woods will be brought to life again with colour, sparkle and plenty of Christmas magic for all the family with mulled wine, face painting, carol singing and some Christmas suprises.

Who said reindeers don’t fly!
