The great outdoors just got a little bit greater. Actually, make that a lot greater.
Taking learning outside the class room and into the great outdoors is a brilliant and fun way to help children and young people achieve the experiences and outcomes identified through Curriculum for Excellence.
We’ve structured our outdoor learning sessions to:
- Engage pupils who have a more kinaesthetic or visual learning style
- Promote cross curricular links in areas such as health, literacy and numeracy
- Develop skills for learning, life and work
- Allow young people to learn in an experientially way
Pure fun. Your next away day at Action Glen
Don’t get us wrong – we love learning. But sometimes, you want a session that’s just pure, 100% fun. From an end of year party to a reward for performance, we can arrange something your group will be talking about for months.
“The staff at Action Glen were outstanding. Genuinely superb – each and every one. The activities and facilities were perfect. Each pupil had a different favourite. The archery, shooting, laser-tag and tree-top trail were probably the favourites.” David, Edinburgh
Paperwork’s no fun
So we’ve ticked quite a few boxes for you. We know you’re just as keen as the kids to hurtle down the zip line, tackle the high ropes or prove your survival skills.
That’s why we’ve worked to cover the areas we know matter most, including:
Learning outcomes and curriculum links – we’ve created detailed notes for all our activities
Risk assessment and insurance pack – helping you navigate this tricky area
Catering – with great facilities at the Clubhouse, there’s no need to worry about packed lunches
Disclosure – all our instructors have enhanced disclosure or PVG checks
Real experts – every team member has been through a thorough training programme, including First Aid. We even train people from other outdoor activity centres.
